Amanda Griffiths

Amanda Griffiths believes in making the Libertarian Party a high-agency party, and its members its chief protagonists. As a first mover in LPAlliance, editor of The Torch, Secretary of LP Wisconsin, and Policy and Strategy Chair / North American Vice Chair with the International Alliance of Libertarian Parties, Amanda has built coalitions from the ground up, crafted effective frameworks for organizational structure and success, and collaborated with members nationwide to strengthen their state parties and provide new platforms for libertarian ideas, initiatives, and messaging.

As Vice Chair, her work is about making the Party a more powerful and principled political vehicle for the liberty movement from the inside out: by elevating members’ and states’ voices with opportunities for leadership, engagement, and advocacy at at all levels; and by driving fierce, proactive messaging that shows targeted audiences as well as the broader public what libertarianism means and why.  Amanda brings a unique background in media, academia, publishing, policy analysis, and the entertainment industry to her understanding of politics and minor party strategy, with multidisciplinary experience articulating complex principles to diverse audiences in innovative and engaging ways—a skill she looks forward to using to recruit new members, partner on policy issues, and champion libertarian ideas in public forums.

Ultimately, she understands that the greatest drivers of the Party’s success are its members, volunteers, and candidates; and plans to create new infrastructure and programs to facilitate actionable information-, idea-, and resource-sharing between the Party’s people and its institutions.  Amanda sees her work with the Libertarian Party and liberty movement as both a vocation and an occupation. As such, she is prepared to devote herself to the role of Vice Chair full-time.
