Doug Knebel is running for Treasurer of the LNC. He has been a corporate finance professional for 25 years, the last 17 of which have been specifically in Treasury. He is a Certified Treasury Professional (not a CPA) and has spent most of his career working in the manufacturing industry.

Currently, he is a Treasury Director for a manufacturer in Duncan, SC called AFL (America Fujikura Ltd).Doug’s primary goal as Treasurer will be to provide accuracy and transparency on a timely basis to the rest of the LNC to arm them with the financial information they need to drive strategy and decision making. The financial health of this party is at a tipping point and needs strong leadership that makes every decision with this in mind.

Doug has been a LP member since January 2025 and has since served six months on the Audit Committee (AC) and Special Investigatory Committee (Angela McArdle). He currently serves as an At-Large Director on the LNC and on the Financial Standards Committee (FSC). Upon appointment to the FSC, Doug resigned his position on the AC as this would be a conflict of interest to remain on both committees. At the state level, he currently serves as Assistant Treasurer and on the Finance & Fundraising Committee for the South Carolina Libertarian Party.

Doug is the right person for this job because he is honest, trustworthy, experienced, and loves this party and libertarian principles.
